Application Development

Earned Value Management (EVM) Program Analyst

The EVM Program Analyst will provide Earned Value and Program Control support, implement EVM reporting, and scheduling, to one or more Project Managers responsible for Information Technology projects under the FAA Aviation Safety Regulation and Certification Infrastructure for System Safety (RCISS) program. The Analyst will supports the Project Manager (PM) while they initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects according to the established Earned Value Management (EVM) and System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) procedures and ensure projects meet or exceed the requirement set forth in in those procedures. The Analyst will work with Project Managers to help define the project's objectives, oversee quality control and produce required SDLC and project planning and control artifacts throughout its life cycle. The Analyst will be required to interact regularly with Project Managers, project team members and the RCISS Program Office.

Bachelor's degree with 10 years of general project management and/or planning/scheduling experience using Earned Value Management principles

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities with minimal supervision
  • Use of telephone, e-mail and web-meetings to effectively collaborate with other team members working in remote offices
  • Effective time management skills
  • Basic understanding of U.S. Government contracting principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and general scheduling principles
  • Understanding of basic Project Management principles and best practices

Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar project management related certification
  • Experience with information technology (IT) infrastructure systems, System Development Lifecycles (SDLC), budgeting and financial analysis

Senior Web Developer/Application Developer

The Senior Web Developer designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code for components of client's web applications. The developers works closely with the Web Development Manager, UX Designers, graphic designer, front end developers and other members of the project team to develop engaging user-centered web applications. The Sr.Web Developer works primarily on core system functionality, including ColdFusion code, SQL, jQuery, etc. in an Agile development environment. Knowledgeable in web development methodology to include CM and testing. All the developers on the team are co-located with the client, with whom there is frequent interaction.

The ideal candidate for our application developer position would have at least 8 years of development experience, with at least 5 years of Adobe ColdFusion (CF) work, including CF version 8. A senior developer demonstrates advanced CF techniques, understands design patterns (MVC), uses application frameworks such as ColdBox, and leverages web services (XML/REST/JSON). He/she will have extensive experience on the backend with data architecture and design, advanced PL/SQL and the development and use of stored procedures. On the front end, they are proficient with semantic HTML for structure, standard CSS for presentation, unobtrusive JavaScript (jQuery) for AJAX interactivity and the principles necessary for implementation of an accessible, Section 508 compliant site.

Education

User Interaction/Application Developer

The ideal candidate for our User Interaction Developer is one with 2 to 5 years of web development experience, as well as familiarity with web development practices and techniques. They are highly proficient in semantic HTML for structure, standard and cross-browser CSS for presentation, unobtrusive JavaScript (jQuery) for AJAX interactivity, and the principles necessary for implementation of an accessible, Section 508 compliant site.

The User Interaction Developer works with the Product Manager, UX Designer, Graphic Designer, Front End Developers, and Back End Developers to implement consistent, engaging, user interactions. He/she consults with the Web Development Manager during Requirements phase of projects on feasibility of UX requirements.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be proficient in ColdFusion development and able to handle small projects and upgrades to existing projects from start to finish.

Finance

Assistant Controller/ Federal Government Contractor

The Assistant Controller will work closely with the executive management team to implement the strategic financial goals and objectives. Based in Vienna, VA, we provide web development, system application development and information assurance support to our customers.

The Assistant Controller will be a leader providing daily management and supervision of the accounting department. We require experience in Federal Government Cost Accounting; GCS Premier; the accounting system conversion process; strong management and organizations skills and proficiency in government accounting compliance matters.  Experience with both in–house and outsourced payroll systems are desirable.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Management, supervision and training of all accounting department functional areas and staff.
  • Financial analysis and reporting to corporate management.
  • Evaluate and maintain banking relationships.
  • External and internal review for compliance with state and federal accounting regulations including FAR, CAS and DCAA compliance.
  • Liaison with Project Managers and Human Resources Department

Qualifications:

  • B.S.in Accounting or Business Administration
  • CPA
  • Proven supervisory skills leading and accounting department
  • Government Contracting/DCAA background
