Network Designs, Inc. Completes Global Deployment of Aruba Networks' PCI-Compliant Wireless Solution at Navy Exchange Service Command

Secure Mobility Solutions Deployed At 344 NEXCOM Retail Stores, Warehouses Worldwide in Just 84 Days

Vienna, VA, October 15, 2007— Networks Designs, Inc. (NDI), an authorized Aruba Networks reseller, today announced completion of the installation of Aruba's adaptive wireless LANs and identity-based security solution at 344 U.S. Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) retail stores located at 107 U.S. Navy installations worldwide.

The installed Aruba FIPS 140-2 certified platform features high performance adaptive wireless LAN technology, a secure firewall, wireless intrusion detection, and compliance with PCI standards.

"Aruba was the prime contractor for this project and selected NDI as the installation contractor because of their proven record of completing complex global deployments on-time and within the allocated budget," said Dan Brigati, Aruba's Federal Director of Operations. "The project had a very aggressive installation schedule of less than three months, and the logistics associated with such a worldwide deployment mandated the selection of an experienced engineering firm with well-trained personnel. NDI delivered on all fronts."

“This project was both a major challenge and a unique opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of our firm," said Kevin McGreevy, CEO of NDI. "We fielded integrated deployment teams comprised of NDI, and NEXCOM IT personnel who worked collaboratively with Aruba systems engineers to achieve the 90-day completion date using innovative project management and logistics practices. The retail and warehouse operations could not be stopped during installation, so we worked in the evenings and had the new networks up in time for business the next day. I'm very proud of the work quality and the close relationships we’ve forged with both Aruba and NEXCOM."
