Senior II IT Analyst/General Aviation Advocate

This individual will provide internal and external stakeholders with effective industry and agency communications and relationships and provide air carrier and general aviation subject matter expertise. Specifically, to produce marketing collateral, execute communications internal and external outreach programs, develop and maintain working relationships and align messaging with internal stakeholders at AVS and ATO with numerous external relationships. A commercial aviation focus on Part 121 and 129 aircraft missions and performance, CNS equipage and capabilities, flight crew procedures and training, and manage issues and priorities for the Director of NextGen Collaboration and Messaging Office (ANG)
For the Deputy Director, NextGen Collaboration and Messaging Office (ANG), this individual will develop and maintain strategic and tactical media messaging for both internal and external relationships such as AVS, ATO, AOC, and externally AOPA, EAA, GAMA, NATA, AEA, and NASAO, by providing general aviation community with operational subject matter expertise, provide digital and print media and messaging combined with educational outreach to maintain currency and advocacy for the community.
Technical skills and Requirements
Provide support to the Federal Agency through management of strategic communications, messaging, creative production, and content development as Creative Services lead;
Synthesize complex program initiatives and policies to create messaging for industry, stakeholders, and the flying public;
Drive conceptualization, design and development of marketing and branding of Agency’s initiatives including event experiences, talking points, website content, video scripts, social media messaging, and other multi-media assets;
Communicate client requirements to design and development team, manage production schedule, and delivery of collateral;
Drive client expectations, resources, design team and production schedule to ensure timely delivery of assets;
Ensure collateral is up-to-date and reflects the organizations current policies.
Manage Confluence Service Desk for Creative Services for all design-related tasks;
Skilled in web communications and marketing with demonstrated history of coordinating and managing projects in those areas.
A working knowledge of web branding concepts and ad copywriting.
Web experience should include understanding, embracing and using social media (FB, Twitter, Blogs, etc.) and new media technologies and techniques.
A team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
A working knowledge of web design and web development is required.
Preferred but not required skills include an understanding of Usability and User Experience principles, knowledge of web analytics, and experience with web page design.
Minimum Education /Experience
15 years’ experience working in digital media (e.g., web communications, social media, online journalism & editorial, rich Internet applications, mobile communications, online advertising) with functional emphasis on marketing & communications outreach, web communications, writing, editing, advertising, and publishing for the General Aviation Community.
Bachelor of Science, Engineering, Math, and Science degrees are required.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
